Great, well built.

My go to application to quickly check whats going on. Updated throughout the day, it is a perfect complement to the std WSJ app.

Good app

Very good app that allows you to quickly see the main news of the day

My go to app every morning!

Great

wSJ

Well done, brief to the point and fast

Its WSJ but in fast past short news chunk

It is very similar to WSJ but in faster shorter news chunk, which is great! Great quality, accuracy, and fast!

Excellent app

Nicely designed, easy to use

Very useful

Excellent for keeping up with events.

Great App

Concise and informative. Highly recommended.

Love it!

Edit: when tapping the in article links that take you to an in app browser to read full articles, it keeps asking me to log into WSJ. Very distracting and annoying, and Ive stopped clicking on them. Otherwise still love the app. Love it, its basically a more targeted version Yahoos daily Whats News app. Fully recommend the download! Great for a quick check of what I need to know.

WSJ Whats News

Most of what you need and not much of what you dont. The ticker needs a little help though.

Helpful

This works for me.

Review

As a 50 year plus subscriber to hard copy and later on my kindle of the WSJ I enjoy the quick updates on my iPhone during the day. Id prefer if the market updates were in absolute numbers rather than in meaningless %! LN

Great Information Application

Theres a lot a great article in the Wall Street Journal news I am so glad Im able to get dad on my cell phone

Great app

Pleasure to use

Beautiful and functional

Beautiful interface, functional features

Beautiful design, but buggy

This is a superbly designed app -- it is actually a pleasure to use, in contrast to the vast majority of news apps. Or at least it would be, if it wasnt plagued by two supremely irritating bugs and an assortment of less irritating ones. As for the content, it delivers exactly what it promises: a high quality, brief overview of the most important stories of the day. This used to be a five star review, but not anymore because of the infuriating persistence of two new problems with the software. One of the problems, the clicking of a link to a full WSJ article merely leading to a plaintext error page or frozen "sign in" page, is easily solved by logging out of and then back into the app -- but that is very inconvenient. The other one is worse: the app freezes ridiculously frequently and crashes are all too common. Besides for these new and salient bugs, there are several smaller bugs and miscellaneous design deficiencies that should be fixed. Accessing full WSJ articles linked to in the app is slow and fiddly, not to mention the ugly design of the built-in browser. The short data presentations should be "click to play", instead of playing automatically when the user scrolls down to them. And there is a long-standing bug preventing users using the "define word" function from within the app -- highlighting a word and clicking "define" merely scrolls upward. The app also contains advertisements, despite its users already paying. Even worse, they automatically play with sound, which is very irritating. I understand the constant need for revenue on the part of news organizations during the current era of free news, so I will not deduct a star for it; it is, however, disappointing. I used to have this in my review, but can no longer include it because of the bugs mentioned above: [I have used many apps like this one, and WSJ Whats News handily defeats the competition. Along with The Economist Espresso, this is my go-to news app.] If these problems persist for much longer, I will have to deduct yet another star.

Great summary of the important news stories

This app saves me a lot of time when trying to quickly get a grip on whats happening in the world and the markets.

Excellent Summary of Important News Events

I am really enjoying this app and look forward to reading it primarily in the early evening.

Best Idea for a News App

This is the first news app to really target those who may not have the time to browse through hundreds of articles. It takes the great WSJ writing and cuts it down to brief, yet still detailed, summaries of everything you need to know thats going on right now. The user interface makes it smooth and flow nicely. I love that theyve also included the top/relevant opinion articles as well as opposed to just the headlines. Lastly, it provides the best example of how articles can be shared via text. They share as a nice, aesthetically pleasing "button" (for lack of a better term) displaying the cover picture and headline for that article as opposed to that nasty, long hyperlink for most apps. I still use my regular WSJ app when I have the time to browse articles, but definitely start off with this one in the morning so I dont miss any important news. Definitely recommend having and keeping both. The only improvement I would add though is that with having both, I now get duplicate notifications for major headlines. Granted I could just turn off notifications for one, but there should be some integration between the apps.

Great app

Was skeptical about using this versus the regular WSJ app but it gets straight to the point on the most breaking news, offers a great UI and I dont have to look very hard to find out what I want.
